Frogs are so common that they can be seen in our gardens, especially on rainy days. They come in a variety of sizes, some are small baby frogs, some are big and some are in between – not so small, not so big.
Generally, People are not so fond of frogs but we surely know some who find them cute. Kids are one of them because it’s not just a frog for them, it is a king- ‘THE KING FROG’ which makes it a special creature for kids.
Keeping in mind the affection of kids for the king frog, we are here, with our super interesting and easy step-by-step guide on how to draw a king frog.
So, without keeping you waiting, let’s begin our artwork featuring a king frog by following up on these instructions.
By using this step-by-step guide on how to draw a king frog, you can draw a frog in no time.
HOW TO DRAW A KING FROG, LET’S BEGIN!
STEP 1: LET’S START WITH THE HEAD PART
Begin by making a half-inward curve just slightly above the middle of your paper. Remember to draw with a light stroke so that you can get rid of any unwanted lines easily.
STEP 2: DRAW THE EYELID
For the upper eyelid, extending the curve from each side into a half circle sloping downward.
STEP 3: DRAW THE JAW
Now we are going to draw the jaw-like structure and for this, draw a curvy slope facing towards the head but remember to leave some space for the facial features.
It may look like a mickey mouse face to you but keep drawing, you are surely going to enjoy this.
STEP 4: OUTLINE THE FACE
Join the lines and outline the face proportion as given in the image guide.
STEP 5: DRAW RIMS OF THE EYES
It’s the simplest. All you need to do is to make a circle inside both the upper eyelids to create the eye outline.
STEP 6: LET’S DRAW INNER DETAILS OF THE FACE
Now, you have the outline of your king frog’s face drawn, so from this point forward we will be drawing some inner details for it.
Make a small circle within both the eyes outline adjacent to its right top side and shade the entire circle leaving a tiny portion to create a proper eye look.
Remember that both eyes should look exactly similar and look in the same direction.
Our frog is a happy king, so, it’s mandatory to give him a smiley look. For a smile, we will be keeping it very simple. Draw a halfway inward curve and mark a line at both ends and it’s done.
STEP 7: NOW DRAW ONE LEG OF THE FROG
To draw this section we will be drawing a straight line below the center of the face keeping a small space in between.
Now draw a parallel backward slanting line with a curve at its bottom and join both the lines. Okay, so we are done with our one leg and shall be drawing another in our next step.
STEP 8: NEXT, DRAW ANOTHER LEG OF KING FROG
Draw another leg adjacent to the first one exactly as we did in our previous step. Try to make it identical as much as possible.
STEP 9: THEN, OUTLINE THE FROG’S HEAD AND BODY
Right beside the legs draw equidistant backward slanting lines with a curvy edge from the top adjoining the head and again an elongated narrow curve at the bottom adjoining the legs. This should be drawn identically on both sides.
STEP 10: NEXT, A CROWN
What is the thing that makes our frog distinct from others? Yes, you are right- THE CROWN.
So, now, it’s time to draw the crown. Right above the middle of the head draw an upside-down V and two smaller lines below it on the left and right sides adjacent to the head.
After this, join the V shape and the lines drawn below. Don’t forget to add small circles on each pointed edge.
STEP 11: START COLOURING IN THE RIMS OF THE EYES
Pick up your favorite green color and start filling in the rims of the eyes.
STEP 12: FINISH UP THE DRAWING BY COLOURING IN IT
fill up your artwork with green color except for the eyes and crown.
STEP 13: LASTLY, COLOUR UP YOUR KING’S CROWN
Pick up your yellow color and start filling in the crown.
