You must have heard about the ‘King of fruits. Yes, the mango. But do you know about the ‘Queen of fruits? The Pineapple! You must have guessed it right because of its significant royal structure holding a crown on its head and its delightful flavour.
Pineapple is a large tropical plant with spiky, tough outer skin but is sweet from the inside. Though pineapple toppings on pizza ruin the bread’s delight for some, its juice is rich in several nutrients, specifically Vitamin-C.
It seems a bit complicated to draw the fruit on paper. But here is our 9-step guide to your rescue. So just grab your pen and paper and follow the procedure below for a delightful treat to your eyes.
How to Draw A Pineapple– Let’s Start!
Step 1 — Let’s begin with drawing an oval
Start with drawing a big oval-shaped structure in the middle of the page. Remember not to make it circular but instead draw an ellipse.
Step 2 — Erase the upper portion of the shape drawn
The next step is to erase a bit of the upper curved portion of the oval so that the shape remains partially open. Now the body of the pineapple is ready.
Step 3 — Draw the crown of the pineapple
In order to draw the crown of the pineapple, we need to start by drawing some pointed half moon- like structures from the open end of the entire body. Draw one leaf in a bit downward direction and then another one over it forming some angle. You can refer to the picture shown below.
Step 4 — Add more leaves to the crown
Now keep drawing pointed leaf-like structures to make a big crown one over the other. You can take the reference from the picture shown below for more clarity.
Step 5 —Add leaves in the periphery of the body
We need to close the crown with more leaves down towards the partially opened end of the body. The gap between the body and the crown needs to fill. You can also draw a leaf pointed inside the body.
Step 6 — Add creases in leaves
Detailing is necessary and so we will add some creases in the centre of the leaves. Do not join them to the ends of the leaves. Keep it in the centre with open ends as shown in the picture.

Step 7 — Draw slanted lines inside the body
Now we need to draw some slanted lines in a specific direction at an equal distance from each other inside the body. You can use a scale for this. Do not pass the lines from above the leaves.
Step 8 — Draw more slanted lines but in the opposite direction
We need to form a significant mesh-like structure in the pineapple. For this just draw more slanted lines following the previous procedure but in the opposite direction. The lines need to cross each other.
Step 9 — Fill in the colours!
It’s time to add colours and make it more eye-catching. Fill the crown with bright green colour and the body of the pineapple with a mustard-yellow colour. And the pineapple is all set to be served!
