How to Draw a Husky – Let’s Get Started!
STEP 1 — Let’s begin with the outline of the husky head
Beginning on the upper left portion of your sheet, draw a circular shape to structure the outline of the husky’s head.
Make sure to not press down too hard with your pencil when drawing the outline for your husky’s head. It’s important to sketch with lighter strokes so you can easily remove some parts of the outline when you no longer need them later on.
To make sure that the husky will be drawn in the center of your drawing sheet, draw reference lines by drawing an intersecting horizontal and vertical line across your drawing sheet.
These lines should divide your paper into four square spaces. The first space in the upper left corner of your sheet is where you should draw the outline of the head of your husky.
Step 2 — Now outline the body of the husky
Now in this step, we will draw the outline of the body of the husky as a reference shape that we will erase later on.
For his, draw an elongated sideways oval shape as you can see in the reference image right below the head of the husky.
This outlines the entire body of the husky, as shown in the illustration image.
Huskies are considered for their brawny, compact build, so don’t forget to make the body appear beefy when drawing it!
Step 3 — Now, connect the head and body by drawing irregular lines that will replicate its fluffy coat of hair.
In the third step of our step-by-step guide on how to draw a husky, we will complete the neck portion.
For this, you just need to connect the head with the body by drawing irregular lines as shown in the reference image.
These irregular lines will replicate the furry hairs of the husky.
STEP 4 — Now, structure the snout and ears of the husky
Over the outline of the head that we drew in our first step as a guide, draw the snout of our husky on the left side, directly connected to the outline of the head.
Draw ears over the top left and right side of the circular shape by simply drawing pointy triangle shapes.
We will remove any overlapping lines from the outline later on as this will help keep your drawing clean, neat and tidy.
STEP 5 — Now draw the front legs of the husky
In this step, you need to draw the front legs of the husky over the body outline using it as a guide.
STEP 6 — Complete all four legs of our husky
Complete the legs in the back just like you draw in the front. Don’t forget to draw a paw with three toes at the bottom of each leg!
