Gorillas are large primates that inhabit the tropical forests of central and eastern Africa.
Their distinguishing physical characteristics include big chests, broad shoulders, hairless heads, and human-like hands. In addition to their predominantly vegetarian diet, they may develop a taste for termites and ants.
Due to their powerful physique and fiery facial characteristics, gorillas are among the most popular creatures for people of all ages to draw.
Step By Step Guide On How To Draw A Cartoon Gorilla
Step 1: Start with the head of the gorilla. Make the lower jaw smaller and narrower than the top of the skull, which is flat. Also, draw the gorilla’s eyes and ears to make it look realistic. You can check the reference image for the idea.
Step 2: Then draw the eyes, ears, and hair of the gorilla, as shown in the image below.
Step 3: After that, draw a gorilla hand and fingers. You can draw curved lines, as shown in the reference image.
Step 4: Now, it’s time to draw the second hand and its fingers. Draw gorrila’s second hand as we have drawn in the previous step.
Step 5:
After completing the gorilla’s head shape, we will move on to its body.
Draw a pair of curving lines just behind the head to depict the arms. Remember that gorillas are naturally muscular, so be careful to design muscular arms. Don’t forget to create a circular shape for the gorilla’s hands at the end of each arm!
Step 6:
Once the upper body is complete, we will move on to the lower body of your gorilla.
Make a slightly curved horizontal line between the arms to define the chest. Then, draw another line beneath the one we just drew to form the gorilla’s stomach.
Create the visible section of the gorilla’s legs by drawing two curving vertical lines sloping in opposing directions. Also, draw the leg of the gorilla, as shown in the image below.
Step 7:
Draw another leg of a gorilla to complete your drawing. Also, try to perfectly draw the gorilla’s toes and nails to make it look realistic.
Step 8:
As can be seen, the gorilla drawing is complete. The only thing lacking to make the gorilla appear bright and beautiful is a splash of color!
Now that we’ve successfully sketched a gorilla, it’s time for the most fun step: choosing colors and coloring the design!
This section is where you may demonstrate your creative abilities and color blending abilities.
Generally, gorillas have black skin and hair ranging from black and grey to brown and red.
You may color your gorilla drawing by the standards or use a distinct palette.
In any case, we are confident that your drawing will be wonderful! Have fun experimenting with colors and observe how the gorilla comes to life. Start filling black color on the outer outline of gorrila’s drawing.
Step 9:
After that, fill a light brown shade in the inner outline of the gorrila’s drawing.
